Art Final
For my art final I choose to do the handmade book, the piñata and the monochromatic painting. I actually enjoyed learning about many things in art class and the things we can create using our imagination. Art is a very important thing in our world and we also see art in our daily life’s and I personally admire the artists who create take their time to complete the creation.
The handmade book we did was done by sewing together multiple pages and putting a cardboard as the cover. I finish decorating it at home. I did mine yellow with stars and now I am using it to get my friend’s signatures before school is over. It took a really long time to complete it but I really like how it ended up like. The piñata I made was a cat and first we blew a balloon and we cover it with some papers that were wet with water and glue. After days it got dry and I shaped it more like a cat and then I painted it purple. The eyes were dark yellow and the final thing was the rose on its ear. My third project is the monochromatic painting. I started by choosing an image and then had to choose one color. I had to mix some other colors to make the dark blue I wanted. Then I painted the image in to a cardboard with only using the dark blue color.
The similarities of this three projects were that it took a long time to complete them. Also the book and the piñata are things that we can see in our daily lives. I got to try the similar work people do to complete this things. I used similar materials for the monochromatic painting and the piñata. Some materials were cardboard and the paint. They were all challenging.
The differences are that the piñata was much larger than the book. Also the piñata I did was in multiple colors and the painting I used only the dark blue color. Another difference was that the most challenging project to me was the book because when I sewed it wrong I had to do it again.
I never had an art class since elementary and it was really fun this year. I learned about many new things such as this projects I mentioned before. I got to do handmade things that we see in this time. Basically now I have an idea of the work that artists do to create art. I learned that you can also express your feelings in the things you do. I was a wonderful year and I hope I have art next year.
